For your Cover4Cycles bicycle insurance to be valid, you must use an approved lock when securing your bike.
An approved lock is a lock rated by an independent company called Sold Secure.
Sold Secure gives each lock a grading: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond, depending on how difficult the lock is to overcome by criminals.
Bronze is the lowest grading, and Diamond is the highest grading.
To stay covered by your Cover4Cycles policy, you need to use lock with a grading from Sold Secure, and the minimum grading you require will depend on the value of your bike.
The table below shows you the minimum grading you need, based on the value of your bike.
Value of your bike | Minimum Sold Secure grading required |
Up to £250 | Bronze |
£250 – £1,500 | Silver |
Over £1,500 | Gold |
